GKV and Snyder’s Turn National Pretzel Day into Snyder’s of Hanover Day

In an effort to capitalize on National Pretzel Day (April 26 for the uninitiated) and highlight a new product introduction, Snyder’s of Hanover and GKV joined forces to hand out tens of thousands of Flavored Pretzel Pieces and engage consumers on social media across the U.S.

Cities like Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Philadelphia and San Diego were chosen because of their favorable demographics in reaching a younger audience and because of local events occurring on National Pretzel Day — a Major League baseball game in Minnesota, a day at the San Diego Zoo and the Penn Relays in Philly.

The goal was to not only encourage trial, but to position Snyder’s as the brand to think of on this national pretzel holiday.
