GKV’s “Animal Kingdom” TV campaign for Sprint took home a gold ADDY at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Baltimore’s annual awards ceremony last night. The agency was also awarded silver ADDYs for work done for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and PANDORA Jewelry.
GKV created the gold award-winning Sprint “Animal Kingdom” campaign to highlight the benefits of the company’s upgraded 4G LTE network, including faster download speeds, fewer dropped calls and better coverage. The hilarious series of ads featured a frustrated marmot, dancing badgers and a crying dog with a slow Internet connection. Following the gold win, GKV’s Sprint campaign automatically moves on to the regional District competition, competing with agencies from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Virginia and Washington, D.C. GKV was joined by more than 30 other agencies, production shops and in-house marketing teams at the Sheraton in Towson for the AAF of Baltimore’s 41st Annual ADDY awards, which was produced with a “Downton ADDYs” event theme. Many attendees donned formal dinner party attire, including elbow length gloves and tuxedoes, to honor the local advertising community’s creativity in marketing and communications.
