    Mary Quick

    VP, Design Director

    With two decades of experience in art direction and design, Mary Quick has worked on projects ranging from brand development to integrated digital campaigns here at GKV. She brings an artist's eye and a manager's mindset to every project, every time. Start-ups to global corporations, print to digital. She has a particular knack for luxury, beauty, consumer packaged goods, biotech, higher education, non-profit and health care clients. These include PANDORA Jewelry, DSM Biosciences and McCormick Spice.

    The attention-to-detail end of things has always been her passion, but she also really loves the part where the big idea comes into focus. She’s been known to do her own stunts. Need a shoot stylist? She can do that. A strategic insight, bonus headline, killer logo or year’s worth of digital campaign content? She can do that too.

    Mary loves working in digital spaces and believes the digital landscape has made it all the more critical to always keep in your sights “how does this matter to my audience?” because the lens through which people view all digital content is “why does this matter to me?” Furthermore, it’s not just the websites that have to be responsive. Turning on a dime and adjusting creative to align with new insights and objectives is part of the digital creative process. She believes creating new smart work on the fly is just another layer of attention to detail.

    Mary earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Virginia Commonwealth University and has a master’s degree in communications design from the University of Baltimore. She has spent her entire professional career at GKV. She lives in Towson, Md., with her husband, Jason, and their two children, Silas and Audrey. When not at GKV, she loves to garden and travel with her family.
