GKV, one of the mid-Atlantic’s largest independent marketing/advertising firms, today announced the promotion of Emma Abbott to Vice President, Supervisor of Public Relations and Social Media. Emma joined GKV in 2014 and has more than 10 years of experience in social media, marketing and PR in a variety of industries, including health and wellness, travel/hospitality, and food and beverage.
Since working with GKV, Emma has played an integral role of onboarding and strengthening relationships with clients such as McCormick, OLD BAY, L3, Medifast, PANDORA Jewelry and Snyder’s of Hanover.

As VP, Account Supervisor of the PR/Social department, Emma works to evolve the social practices for GKV, ensuring the agency is ahead of the curve on social media trends and that clients are staying on the cutting edge of everything in the social landscape. In her time working at GKV, she has led clients to viral status with creative content and strategy, as well as introduced new technology to improve the customer social experience and exceed client KPIs.
Prior to joining GKV, Emma was the PR/social media manager at Delaware North Companies, a global hospitality company, where she managed social media and PR for locations such as the Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom, Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex and Sequoia National Park. Emma received her bachelor’s degree in Communications and English from Canisius College. She lives in Baltimore with her fiancé, Dan, and is planning a fall wedding near her hometown in the Finger Lakes region of New York.
