    With a strong background in account planning and strategy, David (Boomer) has almost 30 years of experience creating and implementing consumer and business-to-business advertising campaigns.

    Boomer has been with GKV for 12 years, leading the company’s efforts for a diverse range of clients including the Maryland Lottery, Sprint, L3 Technologies, St. Joseph Aspirin, DSM and About Faces. He represented the company as president of the American Advertising Federation Baltimore from 2015 – 2017 and currently serves on the AAFB Board of Directors. His community service involvement includes board stints with the Baltimore Child Abuse Center and AIDS Action Baltimore.

    He has also served as an adjunct advertising/marketing professor at Loyola University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Goucher College and Johns Hopkins University, and prides himself on mentoring up-and-coming stars at the agency.

    Prior to GKV, Boomer worked at Eisner Communications where he was the senior vice president of strategic planning, and at Edelmann Scott in Richmond, Va., as a senior account executive. His career consumer-client experience includes a wide range of products and categories, including DeWALT Power Tools, AMF Bowling, Standard Drugstores, Virginia Power (Dominion Resources), and Charter Hospitals. His business-to-business experience includes Martek Biosciences, Hackney & Sons, and Virginia Metal Industries among many others.

    He earned a bachelor’s degree in government/foreign affairs from the University of Virginia as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He previously served as president of the Richmond Public Relations Association and earned a post-graduate certification in marketing research from Burke’s Research Institute.

    Boomer is a Baltimore enthusiast and lives in the Patterson Park neighborhood. He’s into traveling, just about any sport and unwinding at night watching bad reality TV.
