GKV Promotes Ellen Delaplane to Vice President, Account Supervisor
GKV, a full-service integrated communications agency, today announced the promotion of Ellen Delaplane to Vice President, Account Supervisor. Delaplane is part of the account management team and is responsible for leading successful ad campaigns by developing strategic approaches and marketing plans for clients and ensuring that projects move forward according to a client’s approved schedule and budget. She currently leads the Maryland Department of Health, Bob Bell Automotive, and Miller Value Partners accounts as well as GKV internal marketing efforts.
Delaplane joined GKV in 2007 as an account executive and became an account supervisor in 2014. During her 12-year tenure, she has worked on large campaigns for the Maryland Lottery, PANDORA Jewelry and L3 Technologies. Most recently, she spearheaded the Masks on Maryland and GoVAX campaigns for the Maryland Department of Health in an effort to educate Marylanders amidst the pandemic on safety guidelines and vaccination information. Internally, she has led the development of GKV’s blog, GKVoice, and the agency’s website redesign.

Before coming to GKV, Delaplane worked at Royall & Company (now the Education Advisory Board) where she coordinated direct mail campaigns for several colleges and universities. She also previously worked at Carton Donofrio Partners as senior account leader. Delaplane received her bachelor’s degree in Art History and Business from University of Richmond. Originally from Baltimore, she currently enjoys the beach lifestyle in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, with her husband, Channing, and their rescue dog, Penny Lane.
