GKV promotes Mark Gray to Vice President of Business Development.

GKV is proud to announce the promotion of Mark Gray to vice president of business development, strengthening the agency’s commitment to strategic growth, client engagement and market expansion.

In this role, Gray will work closely with the agency’s CEO, Roger Gray, to establish strategic growth objectives, define key performance metrics and identify emerging marketing trends that create opportunities. As vice president of business development, he will lead efforts to uncover new business prospects, cultivate relationships with potential clients and help position the agency for long-term success.

Gray will also collaborate with senior leadership to shape the agency’s path forward, developing and distributing thought leadership and marketing content that resonates with targeted key industries, categories and prospective clients. Additionally, as a primary point of contact for new business opportunities, he will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships throughout the business development process and representing the agency in client search and review processes when appropriate.

Gray joined GKV as a digital analyst in 2020 and expanded into a dual role as an account executive in 2021. As part of the digital team, he developed tracking strategies and analyzed campaign performance to provide clients with actionable insights and data-driven recommendations. In his account management role, Mark serves as a liaison between agency teams and client stakeholders, overseeing day-to-day project execution for clients, including the Maryland Cannabis Administration and Constellation Home. Mark has also been a valued member of the new business committee since joining GKV and helped shape how the agency tracks, prepares and responds to opportunities.

Prior to joining GKV, Gray served in the United States Marine Corps, where he worked in aviation logistics. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Outside the office, he serves on the board of the American Advertising Federation Baltimore. He also enjoys cheering on the Ravens and Orioles, experimenting with new recipes on the grill, and spending time with his wife, Baylee, and their golden retriever, Jackson.
