Every year or so, the marketing pendulum swings from brand building to driving performance, then back… and so the cycle goes. At GKV, we focus on ROEverything, consistently delivering both ROEquity and ROInvestment, the two main goals of most marketers. To achieve great ROE or ROI, GKV focuses on achieving great returns on every aspect your marketing.
ROStrategy —
The best execution can’t make up for a weak strategy. Avoid the temptation to rush in. Take the time to get everyone around the real or virtual table and share research, debate and build on each other’s ideas. But at the end of the day, strategy requires sacrifice; here’s a great example of what a smart sacrifice can deliver.
ROTime —
Now that I have encouraged not rushing the strategy, I will encourage looking for ways to save time, but not quality, getting to market. Speed matters.
ROOpportunity —
Sometimes you just need to create your own luck. It can be as simple as looking at what everyone else does and doing something different that, with the addition of your brand, can become something uniquely yours.
ROCreative —
Another for not rushing. The first idea is rarely the best. Also invest in collaboration. Remote working makes it harder, but for work that stands out, that is emotionally relevant and helps consumers realize that your brand can deliver value in their lives, it’s worth it.
RORelationships —
I’ve made a couple of references to working together to get the best result. At GKV, we are true believers, and so are our staff and clients. The average tenure for both clients and staff is 10 years. Some are coming up on 20 years. For another client, we started working with one brand, and now we work with 12. 😊
