GKV “Stays Hot” for the Maryland Lottery
GKV’s latest spot for the Maryland Lottery shows how an average day of chores can turn into a ridiculously good day. In other words, the perfect day to try the new Hot 7s Scratch-Offs and a chance to win top prizes from $1,000 up to $1 million from the Maryland Lottery. The :30 and :15 versions will air statewide just in time for the unofficial start of summer on Memorial Day in the Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Salisbury markets.
UNIT 9’s Hal Kirkland directed the spot, shot on location in Baltimore and conceived by GKV Co-Creative Directors Dave Broscious and Chris Stark. The spot was produced by Trey Fales of REJ & Associates with Producers of Baltimore producing the post work and musical score.
“Some days, everything seems to go right,” explained GKV’s Stark. “When you’re feeling it and you’re on a hot streak, why not play a scratch-off?” The spot involves a multitude of trick shots seamlessly enhanced via editing, including a 50-foot cornhole bag toss, effortless garage clean-up and a miraculous over-the-shoulder basketball shot.
Radio, out-of-home, digital and social media executions round out the campaign elements, Stark said. See the full campaign.
